Enhance your soldering and stone-setting abilities while making a beautiful statement ring in this 2 day workshop. Students will choose a turquoise cabochon from our stock and learn how to fabricate a bezel for your stone. Then you will learn how to design and fabricate a decorative wide sterling silver band for the lovely turquoise gemstone. Finally students will learn how to properly finish, patina and set the cabochon gemstone.

Materials for one sterling silver and turquoise ring (approximately $150-$200) is included in class fee. 

In this class, students will learn the following:

• Sawing, Filing, Sanding, Finishing & Patina Techniques
  
• Metal Stamping, Hammer Texturing and Bur Textures (to add an imposed decoration, if desired)
• Soldering Techniques, Tip & Tricks : various beginner & intermediate techniques will be covered
  
• Cabochon Bezel Setting Techniques

* Prerequisite: This class is designed for students who have already familiarized themselves with the basics of soldering & metalsmithing skills -- having completed at least one beginner level class at Danielle Miller Jewelry (that involves soldering) or equivalent experience. Please contact us if you have any questions about your experience needed for this class.

Workshop Cancellation Policy:

Student Cancellation:
Due to the small class sizes and demand for each seat, if you are unable to attend a class for any reason, please notify us as soon as possible to allow another student to register for the class.

Please note, we cannot offer refunds for student cancellations, but we can offer credit to be applied toward a future workshop based on the time frame in which you have notified us of your cancellation.

• Please notify us at least 72 hours prior to the workshop date and time for full credit towards another workshop.
• Less than 72 hours notice from class date and time, you will receive a 50% credit towards another workshop.
• If cancelled within 24 hours of workshop or if you are a no-show to class, we cannot offer any credit.

Low-Enrollment Cancellation:
Workshop cancellations are decided three days before the start date. In the rare event that Danielle Miller Jewelry must cancel a workshop due to insufficient enrollment, currently enrolled students will have the option to have the entire class fee refunded or held as credit for future workshops.
